# FOMC, c’est quoi ?

Le Federal Open Market Committee : le comité de la Fed qui fixe les taux d’intérêt américains. Il se réunit huit fois par an et annonce sa décision à 14 h (heure de New York).

**C’est comme :** Le jury de la Fed qui fixe les taux.

**Exemple réel :** Le FOMC a baissé ses taux d’un demi-point le 18 septembre 2024, sa première baisse depuis 2020.
