# Prévision et chiffre réel, c’est quoi ?

Sur un calendrier économique, la prévision (ou consensus) est ce qu’attendent les économistes ; le réel est le vrai chiffre. Les marchés réagissent à l’écart entre les deux : la surprise.

**C’est comme :** Une note d’examen comparée à ce que tout le monde avait prédit.

**Exemple réel :** Prévision 7,9 %, réel 7,7 % : la surprise du CPI américain d’octobre 2022 a fait bondir le S&P 500 de 5,5 %.
