बैंक में एक तय समय (अक्सर 1 से 12 महीने) के लिए जमा पैसा, जिस पर सेविंग्स अकाउंट से ज्यादा ब्याज मिलता है। इसे टाइम डिपॉजिट या CD भी कहते हैं।

**ऐसे समझिए:** ऐसी गुल्लक, जिसे साल भर न खोलने का वादा है, और इंतजार करने पर बोनस भी मिलता है।

**असली उदाहरण:** 4% पर 12 महीने के लिए $5,000 की FD टैक्स से पहले करीब $200 कमाती है।
