What is Trend?
ChartsThe general direction of price over many candles: up (higher highs and higher lows), down (lower highs and lower lows) or sideways.
Think of it like: The direction a river flows, even if a few waves splash backwards.
Real example: Gold rose in a long uptrend from about $270 in 2001 to over $1,800 in 2011.
