What is Rights issue?
Stocks, funds & commoditiesWhen a company offers existing shareholders new shares, usually at a discount, to raise money. If you don't buy, your slice shrinks.
Think of it like: The company asking its owners to chip in more.
Real example: In 2021 Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) raised about Rp96 trillion, roughly $6.7 billion, in a rights issue.
