TradeLiga is an education game that explains how markets, trading and money work. Read this page before you ever trade with real money.

Trading with real money is risky. You can lose all the money you put in, and with some products you can lose more. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.

Education, not financial advice

Nothing in TradeLiga is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset. Lessons, games, guides, the glossary, characters' comments and quiz answers explain ideas in general. They do not consider your goals, your finances or your knowledge.

We aren't a broker, an investment adviser or a bank, and we aren't licensed to give personal investment advice. Before you make a real financial decision, think about your own situation and, if you need to, talk to a licensed and independent adviser.

Pretend money only

All trades in TradeLiga use pretend money. Nothing you do in the game moves real money. Doing well in the game doesn't mean you'd do as well with real money, because:

  • there's no real money at stake, so fear and greed feel very different;
  • real trading has costs: spreads, commissions, overnight fees, currency conversion and taxes;
  • real orders can be filled at worse prices (slippage), and markets can gap or close;
  • games simplify the market so you can learn one idea at a time.

Past prices don't predict the future

Many games in TradeLiga use real historical prices. Past performance is not a reliable guide to future results. A strategy that worked on old charts can lose money tomorrow.

Leverage, CFDs and other complex products

Leveraged products such as CFDs, spread bets, futures, options and margin trading are complex. Leverage makes both gains and losses bigger. A small move against you can wipe out your money quickly. Many retail investors lose money when they trade CFDs. Make sure you understand how these products work and whether you can afford the high risk of losing your money.

Crypto assets

Crypto assets are very volatile and often not regulated. Their prices can fall to zero, platforms can fail, and you may have little or no protection.

Brokers and ads

TradeLiga shows ads and a Broker Hub with partner brokers, and we may earn money when you open an account with them. That doesn't mean we recommend them. Read our Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure. Before you open any account:

  • check that the broker is licensed by the regulator in your country (you can search the regulator's official register);
  • read the broker's own risk warnings, fees and terms;
  • never send money to people who contact you on social media or messaging apps promising fast profits. That is usually a scam.

Real trading accounts are for adults only. If you're under 18, don't open one.

Market data

Prices in TradeLiga are for education only. They may be delayed or incomplete, or contain errors. Don't use them to make real trading decisions.

Your responsibility

You're responsible for any real financial decision you make. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses you make trading or investing, even if you learned the idea in TradeLiga. See our Terms of Use.
