Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information TradeLiga ("we", "us") collects when you use TradeLiga on tradeliga.com and in the TradeLiga app, why we collect it, and what choices and rights you have.

Who is responsible

TradeLiga is responsible for your personal information (the "controller"). You can reach us at privacy@tradeliga.com. Our full details are in the Imprint.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Game profile: the name you choose, your buddy and outfit, your country for the Nations Cup, your daily goal and your language.
• Google sign-in (optional): if you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account ID with us. We never see your Google password.
• Certificates: the name you type to appear on a certificate.
• Messages: your name, email address and message when you use the contact form or write to us.

Information created when you play

• Progress: XP, streaks, lessons, game scores, reviews, badges, ranks, league results, crews, duels and invites.
• Device and usage data: screens viewed, buttons tapped, games played, app version, device type, operating system, browser, language, time zone and approximate country (worked out from your connection; we don't store your IP address).
• Crash reports and error logs: what went wrong and on which device, so we can fix it.
• Notification token: if you allow push notifications, a token that lets us send them to your device.
• Ad data: which ads were shown and tapped. Each view or tap is counted with a signed one-time code, not linked to who you are.

What we never ask for

We don't ask for or store bank details, payment card numbers, identity documents, trading account details or your exact location.

Why we use it, and our legal reasons

• To run the game (save progress, keep streaks, run leagues, duels and crews, issue certificates, sync your devices). Legal reason: to provide the service you asked for (contract).
• To keep TradeLiga safe and fair (stop cheating, spam and abuse, protect accounts). Legal reason: our legitimate interest in a safe game.
• To understand and improve TradeLiga (which lessons help, where people get stuck, crash reports). Legal reason: our legitimate interest; where the law requires consent, for example for Google Analytics on the website, we ask first.
• To send reminders and news you agreed to. Legal reason: your consent. You can turn notifications off at any time.
• To show and count ads. Legal reason: our legitimate interest in keeping TradeLiga free; consent where the law requires it. See Advertising.
• To answer your messages and requests. Legal reason: our legitimate interest, or a legal obligation for data protection requests.
• To meet legal obligations (for example tax, accounting or requests from authorities).

We don't use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Cookies and similar technology

We use a few cookies and device storage to keep you signed in, remember your progress and settings, and, if you agree, measure how TradeLiga is used. Read our Cookie and Tracking Policy.

Analytics

We use our own first-party analytics, which count events without storing IP addresses. When switched on, we also use Google Analytics 4 on the website and Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics and Cloud Messaging) in the app. Google processes this data for us under its data processing terms.

Who we share information with

We never sell your personal information and we never give your name or email address to advertisers. We share information only with:

• Service providers that run parts of TradeLiga for us, only for that purpose: Cloudflare (hosting, database, security) and Google (sign-in, analytics, crash reports, notifications).
• Other players, who can see your public profile: name, country, buddy, XP, rank, streak, league and duel results. Your email address is never shown.
• People who verify a certificate with its code: they see the name on the certificate, what it was earned for and the date.
• Authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our players, the public or TradeLiga.
• A buyer or successor, if TradeLiga is ever sold or merged. They must keep protecting your information as this policy says.

International transfers

Our providers may process information outside your country, for example in the United States or the European Union. When they do, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or similar protections required by your local law.

How long we keep it

• Account and progress: while your account is active. A guest account (one that never signed in) that is not used for 7 days is deleted automatically, together with its progress. Sign in to keep your progress.
• Detailed usage events: about 60 days. After that we keep only totals that do not identify you.
• Messages: as long as we need them to help you, and no longer than 24 months.
• Security logs: up to 12 months.
• After you delete your account: we delete your personal information within 30 days. Backups are overwritten within a further 30 days. We keep information longer only when the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

• access the information we hold about you and get a copy;
• correct information that is wrong;
• delete your account and information (how to delete);
• object to or restrict some uses, for example analytics based on our legitimate interest;
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what happened before;
• move your information to another service (data portability);
• complain to your data protection authority.

To use these rights, write to privacy@tradeliga.com or use the contact page with the topic "Privacy". We reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours.

California and other US states: we don't sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we don't use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. You can use the rights above without being treated differently.

Indonesia, Brazil and other countries with data protection laws: you have the rights your law gives you, and you can use them in the same way.

Children

TradeLiga is not meant for children under 13. Teens may need a parent's permission. Read our page for children and parents. If you think a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, hashed session tokens, access controls, two-factor sign-in for staff and regular reviews. No online service is completely secure, so please keep your device and your Google account safe too. If a security incident affects you, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If we make important changes, we'll tell you in the app or on this page and update the date at the top.
