Certificate Policy
What a TradeLiga certificate shows, how verification works and when one can be revoked.
TradeLiga gives free certificates when you finish a learning path or reach a rank in the game. This page explains what they mean and what they don't.
What a certificate shows
A certificate shows that a TradeLiga account:
- finished all the lessons and games of a learning path, or reached a rank, inside TradeLiga;
- under the name typed in when the certificate was created;
- on the date shown on the certificate.
Each certificate has a unique verification code (for example TL-ABCD-1234) and a QR code.
What a certificate doesn't show
- It is not a professional qualification, licence, diploma or accreditation, and it isn't recognised by any regulator, school or employer unless they choose to accept it.
- It doesn't prove that the person can trade or invest successfully.
- It doesn't confirm who the person is. The name on the certificate is typed in by the player, and we don't check identity documents.
Your name on the certificate
Use your real name or the name you're known by. Don't use the name of another person, a famous person, a company or offensive words. Once a certificate is created, its name can't be changed. This keeps verification trustworthy.
Verification
Anyone with the code or the QR code can check a certificate on tradeliga.com. The verification page shows the name, what the certificate was earned for, the date and whether it is valid. It never shows an email address or other account details.
Revocation
We may revoke a certificate if it was earned by cheating, by breaking our Community and Fair Play Rules, with a name that breaks this policy, or by mistake. A revoked certificate shows as "revoked" on the verification page.
Deleting certificates
If you delete your account, your certificates are deleted too, and their codes stop working. Save a copy first if you want to keep them. If you want a single certificate removed, contact us.
Using certificates
You may share your certificate on social media, in a CV or in a portfolio, as long as you describe it honestly, for example "TradeLiga certificate: How trading works (education game)".
